Print mixing is one of the more difficult trends to pull off but when done right, mixed prints can look fiercely high-fashion, breathing some new life into your wardrobe. Like I said in my previous personal style post (see here), I’ve been experimenting a lot with my clothes, trying to get as much wear from each piece and finding new ways to style them. That’s how the idea behind this look came about.
One trick to mixing prints like a pro is to keep your fabrics in the same color family like these two prints in similar shades of blue and white. This can pull two completely different prints together and make them look like they were made for each other. Also mixing a big print like the geometric top with a smaller prints like the check shirt, creates visual harmony. I decided to stick to the blue theme and threw on a pair of blue jeans and to tone down the look a bit, I finished off with black pumps.
