Hey guys, Happy New Year! I’m so psyched for 2015. Instead of taking stock this month, I decided to just talk about what’s been on my mind lately. Today’s post is a bit lengthy and touchy feely he he so I’d advice you to get comfortable. December was not such a great month for me and my family and going into a new year, I just felt the need to talk to you about living life to the fullest and not taking things for granted because life is too short. If you love something, go for it! Don’t sit back waiting for the right time because truth be told there is never a right time so I say if you have a passion for something, do it, go for it today because nobody knows what tomorrow brings. I also want to thank all of you who take the time to read what I have to write and look at the posts I put together.
As I continue on this journey, I have come to realize how much my love for blogging grows as time passes by and I thank you guys for letting me share my content. I remember in the beginning how hesitant I was because I didn’t have the right camera and was so worried about the quality of work I’d be putting out but I still went for it because I had something to share with the world. And this year, I hope to make this blog even better and give it a whole lot of love and care. I know I haven’t been consistent in the last couple of months but I’m ready now.
I can’t begin to tell you what my family and I went through last year or even the last couple of years, all I can say is life isn’t always rosy, but it’s for us to decide how it turns out. Regardless of all the trials in my life, I have decided to just do the things that make me happy and though everything may not be okay, I have a lot to be grateful for. The new year is a time to reevaluate our lives, be grateful and make changes where necessary. To be honest, with all that life threw at me last year, I wouldn’t change anything because I have learned a lot! Most of all, I have learned to be grateful for the things that I have rather than focusing on all the things that I don’t have as well as being grateful for the gift of life itself. There are people who go to bed but never wake up, there are some who take little trips but never make it…some didn’t make it to 2015. But I’m still here, you’re still here, we still have a chance to make changes in our lives and a difference in the world.
So I say to you, it may not be easy, but keep pushing on. You decided to start a business but are falling on hard times, keep at it…at least you’re doing what you want to, no regrets in the end. I believe 2015 is going to be a good year so guys, let’s do this! Put everything in Christ and don’t lose faith.
